My evening at the TV studios

A week ago, my friends Miranda and Josh got three tickets to see my favourite TV talent competition at a TV studio. They asked me to go with them. I said yes ¹ , of course!

On the day of the show, I went to meet my friends outside the TV centre. ²  I couldn't find them because there were a lot of people, but then I saw them. We had to wait for someone to check our tickets. But we didn't wait very long – ³  we went into the studio!

There were lots of interesting things to see like the film crew, and all the lights and cameras. We waited more than half an hour for the show to start, but ⁴  the presenters came into the studio. Everybody cheered!

We watched ten different singers. Each one sang and then the judges talked about their act. Then it was time to find out who was the winner. ⁵  Miranda shouted, 'Look! We're on TV!' And there we were! All three of us were on the large TV screens inside the studio. We went crazy!
