Alicia moved house a couple of months ago. She was living in a house in a village just outside town. It was a house, but Alicia is 85 and she was beginning to find the stairs difficult. Also, the house was a bit – there was no central heating and in winter it got very cold.
Alicia's new home is a flat in a new block very near the town centre. It's a flat so her children and grandchildren can still come and stay with her. It's – just one big kitchen, living and dining area, which she loves. And it has all sorts of wonderful devices, which she didn't have in her old house. The other important thing is that somebody is employed to look after the flats. If Alicia needs help at any time, she can just call a number and somebody will be with her immediately.
