Exercise 1: A review of a TV programme

 

Write a TV review.   Task: Write a review of a television programme that you like to watch with your friends.   Ideas: Make some notes about the programme. What type of programme is it? Who is in it? What is it about? Why do you and your friends like it?   Plan: Decide which ideas you are going to use and match them to these paragraphs. Paragraph 1: Give some general information about the programme. Very briefly give your opinion. Paragraph 2: Summarize the programme. Explain in more detail what happens. Paragraph 3: Give your opinion of the film in detail. Give examples to justify your opinion. Paragraph 4: Summarize your opinion. Try to finish the review in an interesting way.   Write: Write a review of the TV programme. Use the paragraph plan to help you.   Check: Check the following points. Are your ideas divided into paragraphs? Have you used a variety of interesting adjectives? Have you included examples to justify your opinion? Have you checked spelling, grammar and punctuation?
