1Match informal sentences in the box to gaps 1–6 in the email. There are two sentences that you do not need.

  • I was really sorry to hear
  • P.S. Good luck in your music exam!
  • When is your exam?
  • Write again soon.

Subject: Summer holidays!

2  Read the email again and answer the questions. Speak for no longer than one minute.

  • What did Ashley do on Monday?
  • What did Lucy do last month?
  • What is Ashley going to do next week?
  • Where is Ashley going to go next summer?
  • What do you think Ashley will see and do on holiday?
  • Where is Lucy going to go on holiday?
  • What is she going to do there?
  • Where is she going to work after her holiday?
