When I told Jack that I  (want) to make a short film, he got quite upset. He said he  (not have) enough time because he  (go) on holiday that afternoon, but he wanted to help. He also told me he  (not be) back until next Friday. He was a bit happier when I said I  (wait) until he  (get) back. He said that he  (not make) any plans for that weekend, so I told him that I  (go) round to his house on the Saturday morning at 9 o'clock to begin making the film.
