Exercise 1: Write a description of a place

Write a description of a place.    Task: Think of a place where you always feel especially happy. Write a description of that place.   Ideas: Decide how you are going to start your description. Make notes about the general appearance of the place, the things you can find there, what you like about it and why you are happy there.    Plan: Decide which ideas you are going to use and match them to these paragraphs. Paragraph 1: Start your description in an interesting way. Paragraph 2: Describe the general appearance of the place and the most important features. Paragraph 3: Write about any other features. Use adjectives and adverbs to make your description more colourful. Paragraph 4: Finish your description, saying what you like about the place and why it makes you happy. Write: Write your description.    Check: Check the following points: Have you covered all the points in the task? Are your ideas divided into paragraphs? Is there a variety of adjectives and adverbs? Have you checked spelling, grammar and punctuation?

1.  Write your task in another program (e.g. Word).
2.  Save the file to your computer.
3.  Upload your file.
4.  If you want to add a note to your teacher, write it in the Comments box.
